Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

FixLinkr is a marketplace that connects drivers with independent mechanics and repair shops. FixLinkr is currently operated by its founder, Mike Maiga, while the operating entity Linkr Holdings LLC is being formed in New York.

Once Linkr Holdings LLC is officially formed, this policy will be updated to reflect the entity as the operator.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, password (securely hashed by our authentication provider), full name, phone number (if provided), and your account type (customer or mechanic).

Vehicle and Service Information

If you are a customer, we store information about the vehicles you add to your account (year, make, model, VIN if provided, mileage) and the services you search for or book.

Location Information

We collect location information only as needed to provide our services — for example, when you enter a ZIP code to search for nearby mechanics. We do not continuously track your device location.

Mechanic and Business Information

If you register as a mechanic or repair shop, we store your business name, address, contact details, service listings, pricing information, descriptions, and any photographs or certifications you choose to upload.

Bookings, Messages, Estimates, and Reviews

We store booking details (services, dates, prices), messages between customers and mechanics, estimate approvals, and reviews you leave after a completed service.

Cookies, Analytics, and Log Data

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not currently use marketing or third-party advertising cookies. We may collect basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) through our hosting provider for security and performance purposes. We do not currently use any third-party analytics service.

If we introduce analytics or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To connect drivers with mechanics and facilitate bookings
• To send booking confirmations, appointment updates, and service-related notifications by email and in-app
• To enable customer-mechanic communication about services
• To display shop profiles, services, prices, and reviews
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• To comply with applicable laws and respond to legal requests
• To improve and develop the FixLinkr platform

4. Service Providers We Use

We use trusted third-party providers to operate FixLinkr. These providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual and security obligations:

• Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and file storage
• Vercel — application hosting, deployment, and basic request logging
• Resend — transactional email delivery for booking notifications and account-related messages

5. Payments

FixLinkr does not currently process payments. Payments for repair services are made directly between customers and mechanics or repair shops. If we introduce in-platform payments in the future, we will update this policy and notify users before the change takes effect.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Between customers and mechanics — to facilitate a booking, we share the information both sides need to complete the service (such as vehicle details, contact info, and appointment details).
• With service providers — as described above, solely to operate FixLinkr.
• For legal reasons — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of FixLinkr, our users, or the public.
• With your consent — in other cases where you explicitly authorize us to share information.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and booking information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we are required to retain it by law.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional communications (such as marketing emails, which we do not currently send)

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at privacy@fixlinkr.com.

10. Children's Privacy

FixLinkr is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child, we will delete it promptly.

11. Third-Party Links

FixLinkr may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as a shop's own website or map services). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users by email or through the FixLinkr platform. Your continued use of FixLinkr after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
